HISTORY:
HISTORY:
The first Seniors Expo was held at the Palm Beach Share'n' Care Centre during Seniors Week in August 2008 and attracted 48 exhibitors and 1200 visitors. From the response the organiser realised there was a great need for seniors to be able to access health and lifestyle information in one convenient venue.
In 2009, further Expos at Runaway Bay, Broadbeach and Coolangatta community centres were very successful attracting up to 70 exhibitors and more than 1500 visitors at some venues.
In 2010, Expos held at Runaway Bay and Broadbeach community centres were opened by Dr James Wright, the 'media medic' who is well-known for his appearances on the Midday Show over many years. Dr Wright is a great supporter of the Expos and will attend when his commitments allow.
See 'About Us' page for a biography of Dr Wright or you can click on www.docwright.com.au for his latest news.
Further expos were held at Robina, Southport and Twin Towns Services Club.
2011 Expos were held at Runaway Bay in March, Palm Beach in May, Broadbeach in July, Twin Towns Services Club in September and the new Community Centre in Southport in November.
2012 The Palm Beach Expo was held on March 22nd and was a great success with over 50 exhititors showing new products and services for baby boomers and seniors on the Gold Coast.
Further expos were held at Runaway Bay, Broadbeach, Twin Towns and Southport
